Last night in San Pasqual, a truck plunged down a 50-foot embankment and into a citrus orchard, killing the passenger of the vehicle. According to Patch, the incident happened at 18188 San Pasqual Valley Road, where a male driving a Chevrolet Silverado eastbound crossed over the double yellow lines and into the embankment after failing to follow the curve of the road.

Officers report that the 47-year-old male passenger was ejected during the crash and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver’s injuries were considered non-life threatening, and he was airlifted to a hospital. At the time of the report, the crash is being investigated.
